Our aim is to provide a safe, homely and caring environment with a warm, friendly atmosphere. We offer a high level of personal care, and have a good level of staffing to help care for and be sensitive to the needs of all our residents.

Elkington House Care Home is registered for 25 residents.
It was opened as a Residential Home in the 1950's, initially with 14 residents. Elkington House has since been extended and now accommodates 25.

Named after Daphne Elkington, a dedicated social worker who worked for many years in the Southend-on-Sea area.  Supported by Southend Blind Welfare Organisation; a Registered Charity.

Warm & Cosy Bedrooms
17 Single and 4 Double rooms, many with en-suite facilities are available. The rooms can be personalised with individual phone’s or TV’s.

Traditional Cooking
Traditional Home cooked meals are prepared on the premises with a choice of menu.

A Large Garden
ElkingtonHouse has a large garden with an access ramp and guide rails, for when you need to stretch your legs or get some fresh air.

Own GP if Required
We can provide you with your own GP if needed, and we also have Chiropodists, Opticians and Hairdressers who visit regularly.

Daily In-House Activities
A wide variety of in-house activities are available, including a Summer Garden Party
